Remain In Love by Chris Frantz

This video was really enjoyable for me, with the author being Chris Frantz, the drummer for Talking Heads, and I was a huge fan.

There’s nothing really out of the ordinary, I really let the amazing content speak for itself. We were given a nice amount of photos from the author. It was a real treat looking through these and very hard deciding which to use.

The artwork was great as it was a shout-out to the Remain In Light album art. I confess I used a template for the slideshow portion, but it was really a simple slideshow and I didn’t need to waste time trying to reinvent it.

I did add the opening and ending animation of hearts and stars floating in the background. I just used Trapcode Particular and created a custom sprite for each, and tweaked the parameters to have them floating upwards and disappearing. it worked really well and tied in with the cover art.

The best part was we received permission to use the track “Genius of Love” by Tom Tom Club which was a great addition to help bring the viewer through the story unfolding.
