Into the Fire by Gregg Hurwitz

I liked creating this video, it has a fast pace, the music indicated action and intensity. In order to convey the idea of the book, we wanted to use a lot of different imagery. We pulled together a real interesting group of stock footage and then I started to assemble them into sequence, thinking about what looks good moving from one clip to another.

I remember during the creative meeting for this, someone said “…like a Bourne movie”, and I loved that franchise so I knew what they were looking for.

The intro to the video says “Orphan X Lives By The 10 Commandments” (his own, not the official commandments). We decided to add a countdown to move through the clips, each one representing a different commandment. It worked well. Visually, the countdown added a sense of urgency, which was helpful to create the environment we were looking for.
